School-ness and Such

For the first day of school, I actually had a lot of fun.  I got my new classes, found some friends in those classes, managed to snag a lunch schedule with a few of those friends (mandatory for Pete’s sake!), and I think my brain dropped down a peg from all the boredom of learning the same old procedures they teach every first day of school.  But only one more day of that crap, and then I’m good to goooooooo…..

Otherwise, I might be becoming a little “depressed” (using that term lightly…), but mostly because I haven’t drawn in a while and still “can’t” draw (also a lightly used term…), but I’m also bored because I want to make some more amigurumis!!!  After seeing Nimoe’s new amigurumi, I’m motivated!!! (and maybe I can snag a pattern from her on how to do bodies…[evil laugh]).  But all my stuff is at my mom’s and I don’t really have time to be making amigurumis what with all of school starting up again [groan]….this is one of the surprisingly few reasons why I hate school…

Lastly, I’m this close [pinches my thumb and forefinger together] on finishing the prologue to my first story for the fanfiction!  However, I’m reaching a problem, what with names of people and landmarks I don’t really remember, so I can’t actually publish anything until those are cleared up…I might even have to play the game again…but again, when am I going to find the time to do that?!?!  [sigh]….

I was just recently thinking (as a thought on the bus), that I might have to request going to the library more often this year.  Oh, and I’m also a little saddened to know that I didn’t once see my crush (love of my sad, lonely existence) today at school, and thus my endeavor to wear this really awesome outfit of mine…was for nothing.

I’m truly sad about it…[sighs].

I just totally finished the prologue to my fanfiction!!!! Hooray!!!

[Sigh] Tomorrow…

Ummmm….I guess I’m excited about school starting tomorrow…It’ll be neat to be an upperclassman (whoah, I didn’t really think about that!), and I’ll get my new classes, but getting up early, homework and late nights on projects…Not exactly what one gets excited about.  But thank GOD I’ll get to see my friends again!

As mentioned last week, I started writing fan fiction.  Here is my update on that: it is official that I’m working on writing stories for the Xbox360 game, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (and of course it’s playable on the PC, etc. but that’s not the point).  What I have in mind is making a story based on a main character who is of one of the 10 playable races in the game.  Here are the races in alphabetical order: argonian, breton, dark elf (dunmer), high elf, imperial, khajiit, nord, orc, redguard, and wood elf.  For some stories, the tale will be centered around their quest to progress through a guild (i.e., fighter’s guild, mage’s guild, thieve’s guild, Dark Brotherhood, etc.), which total about 4 stories; one will be made to tell the main story (imperial race used here); one is about a khajit who goes around “summoning” at the Daedra shrines (I think there are only 7 shrines I’ve found so far, so it won’t necessarily be too long…); so far that’s 6….and lastly, the remaining 4 tales will be purely ficitonal (for there aren’t any quests you can take for them) but still based off of something that relates to the game, of course.  Only half of those I have ideas for, which one actually includes the Necromancy plot, and the other is centered on a lone Bandit who has his own run-ins with the Imperial forces.  The other two, which are the tales of an orc and a wood elf….I have no clue what to write about.  So far, I think the orc-story might be a more fantasical version of Frankenstein, but not much else…

Anywho, sorry for such a long explanation, but that’s what it’s come down to.  At the moment, I already have story summaries typed up for the 8 tales I have a plot for, but I’m currently writing my first tale based on the Dark Brotherhood (using a dark elf/dunmer such as my own player is in the game).  I believe I’m almost complete with the prologue, but I need to type it up from my written papers.  No problem.

So, that’s what’s up.

I just updated this, but as of ten-fifteen minutes ago, I just joined FanFiction.net!  Now you can read some of my full works that I’ll be doing based on games or other stories (which isn’t a 100% reason to be absolutely proud of my work since it’s not entirely original, but hey, it’s a start and something I won’t have to worry will be stolen).

Amigurumi Madness!: Part Two

Well, about a few days ago one of my books finally arrived!!!  Unfortunately, it was my amigurumi book and not the crochet book, so I’m still kind of unsure what the heck I’m doing, but no worries.  I now know how to increase and decrease, and also single stitch and make a magic ring.

In fact, I’ve already made some amigurumis!  Or…at least one amigurumi doll (which is kind of a piece of crap), and three balls each in a different color.  That’s my big problem is that I want to make certain dolls or characters, and I only have four colors (and no money).  Quite a problem, eh?  Not only that, but my other book, which got shipped FIRST, still hasn’t come yet.  What’s wrong?

Anyway, enjoy some of my dolls!  If you’d like a pattern, I can try to give write for you what I did, but only the legs had their own style [laughs].

One of my balls of yarn (white) that I stitched into one long chain; it was the only stich I knew how to do at the time.

Three balls I stitched, but they’re flat on one end because I didn’t know how to decrease properly.  The second shape is the head and body of one of my first dolls…(please don’t notice how stupid my sewing is…)

Oh my god, I’m 17!!!!!  Yay for me!

In other news, I’ve still yet to receive my crochet and amigurumi books [grumbles].  They sent a message last Thursday and Friday, so I don’t know what’s taking so long…

Anyways, I learned from my mom how to make a chain!  We got some yarn, and all day while my brother was at his doctor’s appointment and everything else, I crocheted an entire ball of yarn into one long chain.  But now I’m mad cause I want to learn how to do the rest…

Thank god for the Internet.

Birthday Fun!

I totally forgot that today is my birthday party!!!  I won’t turn 17 until next week, but today is the only day I’ll have with my dad that my friends can spend the night.

It’ll start around 7 and so far only two of the girls have confirmed they can sleep over (Syb has to leave at midnight, which seems pointless since she not only lives in the neighborhood, but what purpose does going home at midnight serve anyway?).  Either way, I’m hoping to have 3 total friends over, possibly four if Berry can come up later.  I’m excited though cause I haven’t seen any of my friends since school ended (except Syb).  Oh, it’ll be so much fun!!!

Anywho, that’s what I’ve got planned for this evening.  Still on my list, however, is

(a) calling my freshman for my mentoring program,

(b) finishing my summer school homework, and

(c) planning for my REAL birthday, which I’ve yet to discuss with my dad because he gets me that day, but I’m supposed to be with my mom, etc.

I just can’t wait any longer before I can go to my mom’s and begin making amigurumis.  Seriously.

Amigurumi Madness!: Part One

Woo boy!!!  I’ve been checking out some good sites for making amigurumi dolls or at least explaining how to crochet in the first place!  But since I’ve yet to try or don’t have the materials with me to follow along, I’m beginning to feel overwhelmed…luckily, however, with time and practice, I know I’ll be a master at making amigurumis in no time!!!  Best of all, I have awesome design ideas I want to do, specifically characters of mine and some fun ones based off of others from some of my favorite stories!  In the mean time until this Monday, I’ll just have to check out what I can on the internet.

Hopefully by the time I go to my mom’s place, be it Sunday or Monday, the two books I ordered will have arrived and I can really get into amigurumi!  First, I got Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts: Amigurumi, a book I saw at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston, which is how this excitement got started; the second is Crocheting for Dummies which I got for a pretty good price used.  The only items missing are (a) crocheting needles/hooks, and (b) yarn.  Maybe next week Wal*Mart might be a nice place to stop by and pick those up. [laughs]

Although I currently have two blogs set up over on Blogger.com, I have to say this system here makes me feel like a newb XD [laughs]
